Amazon, You Don't Know Me at All
Why do I get so much crap inside my Amazon Gold Box? I always open the Gold Box hoping for a fabulous bargain, but I'm always completely disappointed with their offers. Where do they get the idea that I'm interested in a golf club bag stand or a leather executive massage chair? Could you see me out on a golf course?
Here's another issue. Many times I'm presented with options based on my purchases for friends and family. Amazon needs a better system to filter out my gift purchases so that I'm only presented with suggestions based on purchases that I made for myself. I don't need to see Bill O'Reilly or Ann Coulter in my Gold Box just because I bought a conservative book for my 77 year old Republican father for Christmas back in 2000. I want a "gift" tag now!

I get SO much crap in there, too! :) Like, when am I ever going to need a metal detector? Or cheese of the month club? Or like, just ONE paring knife? LOL!

Hi Joelle! How funny--a metal detector who needs one of those?

Hi,
I was writing a piece about Amazon's Gold Box and found you in a Technorati search. I wanted to let you know I mentioned this but it doesn't seem like you have trackbacks enabled. Here's a link to the article:
